Kilimanjaro Sportsman Glasses Engineered for active outdoor use, Kilimanjaro sunglasses offer superior optical quality frames and high contrast lenses. Plastic frames have been hand made from custom materials and temples are reinforced with metal cores for strength. Optical Quality High Contrast Lenses That Change Formulated for enchanced outdoor visibility, the High Contrast Lenses That Change filter out selected light rays for highly defined vision. The amber lenses will change in bright sunlight to a deep brown, offering sun and glare protection while providing maximum contrast. Ground and polihed for distortion free viewing, the Kilimanjaro glass lenses resist scratching and meet prescription optical standards.
Serengeti's exclusive photochromic lenses automatically adjust to changing light conditions. Activated by the amount of ultraviolet light in the atmosphere, the lenses darken in bright sunlight and lighten in overcast conditions. And because the technology is engineered into the glass, it can never wear off or wear out. With Serengeti you're always wearing the right lens, no matter what the conditions. Every day your eyes are bombarded by potentially damaging ultraviolet rays from the sun. Many sunglasses filter some UV light, but Serengeti lenses block 100% of UVB light and no less than 98.5% of UVA rays, exceeding all government and commercial standards. Lenses also feature an anti-reflective coating on the reverse side to block glare and back reflections. Activate the Lenses That Change by wearing in Bright sunlight for several hours. Made by Corning Glass Works, Corning, New York.
